Privacy Policy
How American Speed Test handles data on your iPhone and with external services.
Effective date: October 13, 2026
Results stored on your iPhone
History and reports are kept in the app's storage on your iPhone. Results are not automatically sent to an Enigma Corp server. We do not include advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. Results may include speeds, latencies, dates, network name, public IP and the measured destination. They can be deleted in the app. Local data may be included in system backups depending on your settings.
Sign in with Apple
Sign-in uses the native Sign in with Apple mechanism. The profile contains your Apple account identifier, name, the email provided or protected by Apple, and creation date. The profile is stored in the iPhone Keychain and may sync through iCloud Keychain if that option is on. The sign-in session is local. Authorization is checked when the app opens and when a revocation notice is received. We do not store passwords, cards or access tokens on an Enigma Corp server.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple with StoreKit. The app verifies signed transactions to unlock access. An identifier derived from the account, without name or email, associates new purchases with Apple's transactions. The subscription remains tied to the App Store account used for the purchase. The app does not receive card data.
Measurement and external services
Measurement must send and receive synthetic content to and from external servers, which receive the source IP and may process logs under their own policies. Server selection queries librespeed.org and servers in the public catalog, as well as Cloudflare infrastructure. We do not send photos, personal files or the final report to these endpoints. The Geo IP tool queries ipwho.is only when you request a lookup. External services have their own policies and limits.
Permissions
Location while in use to access the Wi-Fi name; local network for router diagnostics and Bonjour; camera to place augmented reality markers. We do not read GPS coordinates and do not record photos, audio or video. Permissions are requested in the corresponding feature and can be changed in Settings > American Speed Test.
Sharing
PDFs are generated on the device and sent only through an action you take. The hide-identifiers option hides network name, public IP, ICMP destination and endpoint IPs in that copy. The saved original is not changed. Review the document and the sharing destination. Old temporary PDFs in the cache are removed by the app.
Deleting your profile
The app lets you delete the Keychain profile, local history and cached PDFs. Profile removal may propagate through iCloud Keychain when sync is on. Copies already exported, backups and local data on other devices must be managed there by you. Sign in with Apple authorization can be revoked in Settings > your Apple Account > Sign in with Apple > American Speed Test > Stop using Apple Account. There is no profile storage on an Enigma Corp server. Deletion does not cancel billing or erase transaction records kept by Apple.
